This guide explains how to control materials in AI bathroom renders by naming each surface, narrowing the requested change, and comparing the after design with the original.

Say wall tile inside the shower, matt porcelain floor tile, or brushed-brass tap above the vanity. Broad phrases such as "make it luxurious" leave too much open to interpretation.
A tile can look right in a close-up while its scale, cuts, grout, reflection or boundary is wrong in the room. Compare the complete after design with the original.
Bathroom materials work as a set of relationships. Tile format affects grout lines and corners. Sheen changes how light appears on a wall. A mirror and shower screen create reflections. A vanity finish sits next to a basin, tap and worktop. When one surface changes, the image may make nearby surfaces look different too.
A broad request for a warmer or more luxurious bathroom can therefore replace a specified tile with a familiar pattern, spread brassware across unrelated fittings, change the vanity profile, or make a small-format tile read like large stone. The result may be attractive while no longer representing the intended design direction.
For a showroom, the aim is not to prevent every visual change. It is to make the requested change clear enough to discuss and the remaining design decisions visible enough to review. Use the latest JPG or PNG view from the design workflow. Confirm the revision, room boundary, camera, vanity, sanitaryware, openings and selected finishes before asking for a new presentation visual. A clear starting image gives the tool a real room to follow.
Write down the wall tile, shower tile, floor tile, grout, vanity fronts, worktop, basin, taps, shower fittings, screen, mirror, paint and visible accessories. Add the location and role: for example, "small-format tile on the rear shower wall" rather than simply "textured tile".
Name the fixed decisions: wall and floor boundaries, tile fields, vanity footprint, basin and WC positions, shower screen, mirror, door, window, fittings, camera and crop. "Keep the bathroom" is less useful than a list of visible facts that matter to the client.
Material control is more than a colour name. Include tile format, laying direction, pattern scale, grout relationship, sheen, grain direction, edge treatment and undertone where they matter. This helps distinguish a pale matt porcelain tile from a glossy white mosaic, even when both sound "light".
A physical sample, approved image or product reference can clarify the intended family, colour and texture better than a long adjective list. Treat the reference as visual direction, not automatic proof that an exact product, batch or finish has been reproduced.
If the decision is between two wall tiles, keep the request about the wall tile and its grout. If the decision is a vanity finish, keep the floor, wall fields, basin, taps and camera connected to the current design. Separating changes makes the resulting option easier to understand.
Choose a representative angle where the material and its relationships are visible. A wide view that hides the shower wall is a weak test of shower tile. A close detail that hides the vanity is a weak test of the vanity finish. Start with the view that answers the client's actual question.
Place the original and after design together. Check the requested surface, tile scale, grout, cuts, corners, joins, vanity, fittings, glass, reflections, openings, camera and overall colour balance. A useful brief makes the requested material change testable and keeps the rest of the room visible. For example:

The instruction separates the target from the surrounding room. If the floor becomes patterned, the vanity changes profile, or the tap becomes chrome as well, treat those as possible changes rather than accepting them because the image looks more photographic.
Check format, repeat scale, laying direction, grout width, setting-out, cuts, corners, niches, thresholds and transitions. Look for a large slab replacing a small tile, a new border, or grout that disappears where the design needs it to remain visible.
Compare the vanity door or drawer finish, edge, thickness, handle or handleless detail, basin relationship, worktop overhang and wall connection. A new timber tone should not quietly change the vanity shape or basin position.
Inspect finish, shape, count, spacing and location. Reflections and warm light can alter how metal appears, but the render should not introduce a different tap, move the shower controls, or spread one finish to every fitting.
Check screen edges, frame finish, mirror shape, reflection, wall colour and the boundary between painted and tiled areas. Reflections can reveal an invented window or hide a fitting, so compare the whole scene rather than the surface alone.
A client may need to see two tile directions, a warmer vanity finish or a different brassware mood. That is a useful presentation question when the room and decision are clear. It is not the same as confirming the exact product that will be ordered.
Use current samples, supplier information, schedules, drawings and competent professional advice for dimensions, availability, installation, waterproofing, clearances and compliance. Keep the original design image beside each after design so the conversation does not lose the starting point.
For a set of views, use one material direction and name the option consistently. The same warm stone should not become a different stone family in the second angle, and the selected grout should not disappear because the lighting changed.
