How to Review Mirrors and Reflections in Fitted-Bedroom Renders

Mirrored wardrobe doors can make a fitted-bedroom visual feel brighter and more spacious, but they also create a demanding review surface. A convincing reflection can still show the wrong doorway, hide a panel joint, change the room depth, or contradict another approved view. Review the mirror as quoted joinery first and as an image second.

Check whether bright windows or fittings create believable highlights without erasing handles and panel joints. Avoid approving a neutral-looking mirror when the quoted product is tinted, or a grey cast that makes surrounding finishes appear materially different. Appearance changes with illumination and viewing conditions, so judge it in the full presentation set rather than from one crop.

Compare every approved angle

Put the same wardrobe side by side across the establishing, storage, and detail views. The reflected crop should change with the camera, while the room facts, panel layout, finish intent, and major light sources remain coherent.

Separate a plausible reflection from a commercially safe one

A reflection may be optically plausible and still be unsafe for client discussion. Use the quotation and design record to decide which visible details are project-backed, which are existing room context, and which are presentation-only.

Judge gloss and reflected detail under known viewing conditions

Mirrors sit at the extreme end of reflective appearance, but the same review principle applies to glossy wardrobe fronts, polished handles, and lacquered dressing areas. NIST's appearance guidance distinguishes colour, gloss, haze, reflectance, and distinctness of image, and notes that appearance depends on illumination and viewing conditions.
